On June 5, 2013, John James MacPhee, in his 77th year. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Alison, and three sons, David (Melanie) of Martintown, Donald (Sylvie) of Kanata and John James Jr. (Amy) of Blossom Park, as well as four grandchildren, Alison, Emily, Duncan and Connor. Special Grandpa to Roch and Marc. Also survived by one brother, Donald Joseph (Ann) of Alexandria and four sisters, Marion McDonald (Eddy) of Fowlerville Michigan, Catherine Olive DeFreitas (Roger) of Long Sault, Madeline Van der Zweep (Hans) of Ingleside, and Lucy McIntosh (late Donald) of St. Andrews West and their families. Son of the late Donald Edward MacPhee and Mary Frances McDonald. Visitation was held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home. Funeral mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 8. at St. Bernard's Church, Ottawa. Burial at a later date at St. Finnan's Cathedral Cemetery, Alexandria, ON. Memorial donations to Our Lady's Missionary, 2 Leander Court, Toronto, ON, M4B 2W1 and/or The Ottawa Hospital, Cancer Centre General Campus, would be appreciated. --- from the Glengarry News, -- added 6/22/13

Dr. Archibald Edward Robertson MacPhee, M.D., F.R.C.P.(C), F.A.C.C.P., Knight of St. Gregory, Member of the Academy of Medicine, Cornwall. Beloved husband of Mona James. Dear son of the late John E. MacPhee and the late Mary Nichols. Loving father of Mary MacPhee of Cornwall, Janet (Dr. David Palframan) of Ottawa, James (Patricia Reise) of Hudson, Quebec, Judge Bruce MacPhee (Linda) of Cornwall, G. Ian of Montreal, Quebec and Paul of Toronto. Dear brother of Charles MacPhee (Hetty) of Cornwall and brother-in-law of Doris MacPhee of Etobicoke. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Kevin and Andrea Palframan, Blythe, Drew, Fiona, Quinn and Laura MacPhee and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by infant daughter, Margaret, sister, Mary Margaret Bourassa and brother, John MacPhee. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. Sunday. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 1, 1999 in St. Columban´s Parish Church, Cornwall, at 2 p.m. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 12 Noon until time of Funeral on Monday. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Red Cross Columbian Earthquake Relief Fund would be appreciated by the family.

At home on Tuesday, November 28, 2000 after a lengthy illness. Lynus M. MacPherson of R.R. #3, Dalkeith, age 77 years. Beloved husband of Margaret MacNeil. Dear father of Heather (Garry) of Ottawa, Neil of Dalkeith, Shirley Altman (Rick) of Oakville and Millan (Fiona) of Dalkeith. Also survived by one sister, Katherine Cunning (Howard) of Vankleek Hill and by one brother A.K. MacPherson of Dalkeith. Will be sadly missed by six grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother Hugh. Relatives and friends may call at Munro & Morris Funeral Home, 114 Main Street South, Alexandria on Thursday, November 30 from 1-3 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in Kirk Hill United Church, Kirk Hill on Saturday, December 2, 2000 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Kirk Hill United Church Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
